Hey friends!!!!!
I hope everyone is doing well and that things have been going good for the most part lately! I have some exciting new updates to share!
As I mentioned in a previous blog, our route is subject to change due to COVID or politics, and that is currently our case! About a week or two ago we got an update saying that we got an added country to our Development route, and one was switched out. So previously, we were traveling to Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and South Africa. However, now we will still be going to South Africa and the Dominican Republic, but we will also be going to Eswatini and Nicaragua!!
These are very exciting changes! As I said before, I have great faith that wherever the LORD calls us to serve will be right. In these beautiful countries we will be reaching out and connecting with the communities to strengthen the already existing ministries, working in children’s ministry, and working to provide clean water and food to people. Our short term missions are set to have long term impacts.
Also, we originally were set to launch September 9th into Georgia for discipleship training, but our date has been changed to August 27th! Almost 2 weeks earlier! That is so so so exciting.
On a more personal note- most people are aware- however I recently just had a death in the family as of early January. My family and myself have been presented with many hardships and heartaches, and with that I have often received the question of how I am feeling about still going on this trip. And my answer is that I still feel that the LORD is calling me to serve this mission. I still feel that this is a right decision for me, and I have been praying over the decision. So I am still confident in God’s plan for me, and for this gap year.
If anyone has any questions or is wanting to meet or set up a call with me to talk about more details, my number and email are in the contact me! section. Please feel free to reach out!
Here is a photo I took from a day I had gone up to a local mountain and spent time with His word 🙂
Lilli! I’m so excited to meet you and see what the Lord has for you this year! I am so sorry for your loss, I’m reminded of Matt 5:4. He is with you and He will never leave you.
